Northwest Horse Fair 2018: Promoting the Canadian Horse in the NW United States
On March 23-25, Canadian Horses appeared at the Northwest Horse Fair in Albany, Oregon for the 17th continuous year! The Northwest Horse Fair has been a major factor in re-establishing the Canadian Horse here in the northwestern U.S. (after an absence of more than a century), ever since we first appeared here in 2002 with the NW Cavalry Association. It's that time of the year again! Time to submit your photos for the ever-popular CHHAPS Calendar, for 2019. The deadline for submission is MIDNIGHT, SUNDAY July 22nd. Equus Survival Trust and the Canadian Horse at the Rockridge Fair & Expo in Lexington, VA
The Equus Survival Trust was invited to the Rockridge Fair and Expo held in Lexington, Virginia September 7, 8, and 9. The Canadian Horse was one of the breeds visiting the fair. Lapado Julo Kalumet, a 17 year old gelding and Bellechasse Kojac Tivoly, a 10 year old gelding showed off the beauty and the great temperament of the Canadian Horse. CHHAPS Drill Team at Mission Horse Club Celebration
On September 10, 2017, the Mission Horse Club Celebrated Mission’s 125th birthday and asked CHHAPS to participate in their one day celebration. The CHHAPS Drill team was happy to participate and performed two demonstrations, at 10:15 am and 12:15 pm, preceded with a short narrative about the history of the Canadian Horse. CHHAPS is a relatively small non-profit organization with a correspondingly small budget, we can only sponsor a portion of the cost.
