The Equus Survival Trust was invited to the Rockridge Fair and Expo held in Lexington, Virginia September 7, 8, and 9.  The Canadian Horse was one of the breeds visiting the fair.

Lapado Julo Kalumet, a 17 year old gelding and Bellechasse Kojac Tivoly, a 10 year old gelding showed off the beauty and the great temperament of the Canadian Horse.

It was a first event for Tivoly and owner Malena, and they were excellent.  Malena is a natural at sharing her love of the Canadian horse.

Our display and stall was located by the door.  It was very convenient to be able to ride back and forth to the display stall.  And not only was I able to show off Kalumet under tack, the kids enjoyed being able to come right up to the horse.  For many, this was the first time standing this close to a horse.  A few lucky kids even got to sit on Kalumet’s back.

There was a great turnout and many showed interest in the history of the Canadian Horse.  I’m looking forward to next year’s fair!
