CHHAPS Challenge: 100 Hours in 100 Days
July 1- October 11
The challenge begins on Canada Day and continues until Canadian Thanksgiving on October 11th. Horse owners from Canada and the USA are invited to participate with horses of any breed, age or discipline. Whether you have a seasoned senior or young horse in-hand, enjoy this dedicated time to strengthen your skills and the partnership with your favorite equine, all while supporting a good cause. Maximize your experience by setting a personal goal and getting involved!
This event comes at a time when COVID has cancelled or limited many shows and equine activities, so CHHAPS has chosen a virtual event as a creative alternative. Hours are accrued through mounted activities, in-harness and in-hand work, lunging, schooling, showing, grooming, even trailering your horse to an event! You earn hours at your convenience, even if you don’t have access to shows or clinics. Invite your friends, join or make your own team, meet other rare breeds and re-connect with other members and fellow equestrians!
- Register, see current standings and share photos in our Race Roster Gallery.
- Connect with others in our private Facebook group: after registering, you will be invited to the private group where you can connect with other Challenge participants.
- Join a Team, or create your own! (Canadian horse breed organizations already available).
Simply enter your total hours by midnight, October 11 to receive your commemorative pin and be eligible for multiple award categories. Your participation is a great way to learn more about the Canadian horse, support a good cause and best of all – enjoy the journey with your horse!
CAUSES – Support the Canadian horse, a critically endangered breed!
Your participation helps! Proceeds from the Challenge will be shared with two non-profit organizations dedicated to preserving the Canadian Horse:
